Medical School Training
Dr. Montgomery Johns is the Medical Director of The Center for Advanced Womens' Medicine and the Medical Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecology at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. He attended medical school at the prestigious UCLA Geffen School of Medicine and had clinical experience at LA's Cedar Sinai Hospital (of the stars),UCLA Medical Center, Harbor General Hospital in Long Beach, CA, and University of Southern California County Hospital.
Dr. Johns' Residency Program was at the 6th largest womens' hospital in the U.S., the Kapiolani Womens' Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. There, he was trained by physicians from Asia, Europe, and the U.S., learning varying surgical and suture techniques. Living in Hawaii with its beach and athletic culture, it was mandatory that a physician carefully consider the cosmetic aspects of surgical post-op appearance in addition to adherence to cutting edge technology and technique .In addition, his Program included surgical experience with urogynecologic problems which most residency programs in OB/Gyn do not offer.He also serviced patients at Queens' Medical Center and Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu.
